# Notion Sync

> How to sync your Screvi highlights to Notion automatically

## How Notion Sync Works

Screvi can sync all your highlights to a Notion database. The sync is **one-way** — highlights flow from Screvi to Notion. Each source (book, article, etc.) becomes a Notion page, with your highlights as quote blocks inside it.

## Setup

1. Go to [Integrations > Notion Sync](https://app.screvi.com/integrations/notion-sync) in the web app
2. Click **Connect Notion**
3. Authorize Screvi in the Notion popup
4. Screvi automatically creates a "Screvi Highlights" database in your workspace
5. Click **Sync Now** to run your first sync

## What Gets Synced

Each source or article becomes a page in the Notion database with:

- **Title** — book or article name
- **Author** — author name
- **Category** — Book, Article, Tweet, Podcast, YouTube, PDF, or Personal Note
- **Highlights count** — number of highlights
- **URL** — link to the original source
- **Last Synced** — timestamp of the last sync

Inside each page, highlights appear as quote blocks. Notes appear as callout blocks, and favorites are marked with a star.

## Auto-Sync

Toggle **Daily Auto-Sync** to have Screvi sync new highlights to Notion every day automatically. The sync only runs if you have new highlights since the last sync.

## Manual Sync

Click **Sync Now** at any time to trigger an immediate sync. Only new highlights are synced — existing Notion pages are updated, not recreated.

## Reset & Disconnect

- **Reset sync data** — clears tracking so the next sync re-exports everything (Notion pages are not deleted)
- **Disconnect** — removes the connection. Your Notion pages remain untouched.
