# Android App Guide

> Guide to using the Screvi Android app: features, sharing, and Kindle import

## Overview

The Screvi Android app gives you full access to your highlight library, with share intent support for saving articles from any app.

## Main Features

The Android app includes all the core features available on iOS:

- **Home Feed**: Browse your highlights with filtering and randomized order
- **Articles**: Read saved articles in a distraction-free reader with highlighting
- **Search**: AI semantic search across all highlights
- **Sources**: Browse all your books, articles, and other sources
- **Review**: Spaced repetition review with swipe-based interface
- **Settings**: Account, integrations, notifications, theme, and offline settings

## Adding Highlights

- **Text**: Type or paste manually
- **Voice**: Record audio for AI transcription
- **Camera**: Take a photo for AI text extraction
- **Gallery**: Select a photo for text extraction

## Sharing Articles to Screvi

On Android, Screvi registers as a share target:

1. In any app (Chrome, Twitter, Reddit, etc.), tap **Share**
2. Select **Screvi** from the share options
3. The URL is saved as an article in your library

## Kindle Import

Import your Kindle highlights directly from the Android app:

1. Go to **Settings > Integrations > Kindle**
2. Sign in to your Amazon account in the built-in browser
3. Your highlights are imported automatically

## Dark Mode

The Android app supports light, dark, and system theme modes. Configure in **Settings**.

## Offline Support

Articles you've read are cached locally. Highlights created without an internet connection are queued and synced when connectivity returns.
