What is the file size limit for PDFs?

The maximum file size is 50 MB. Duplicate PDFs are detected automatically.

Which annotation types are supported for extraction?

Screvi can extract highlights, underlines, strikeouts, and text notes from annotated PDFs. This covers annotations made in Adobe Acrobat, Apple Preview, GoodNotes, and most other PDF readers.

Is the PDF uploaded to a server?

When you use the article reader, the PDF is uploaded so you can read it on any device. When you use the annotation extraction tool (Integrations > PDF Import), the PDF is parsed entirely in your browser and never uploaded.

Can I save PDFs from the browser extension?

Yes. Click the Screvi extension icon while viewing any PDF in your browser, and it will be saved to your Screvi library.
