I never exported from Pocket. Can I still recover my saves?

Unfortunately no. Mozilla deleted user data after the export window closed. If you have the export email with the zip, you have everything. If not, Screvi is a fresh start: save as you read from now on.

Does the import fetch the article text?

The CSV only holds titles and URLs. Screvi fetches the readable content when an article is opened in the reader. Paywalled pages can be captured from your own browser with the extension.

What happens to my Pocket tags?

They are created as Screvi tags and attached to the imported articles, so filtering and search work the same way from day one.

How long does it take?

Seconds. The CSV is parsed and inserted in one pass; a library of a few thousand saves is in your list before you have finished reading this sentence.

Is there a limit on how many articles I can import?

The upload is capped at 10 MB, which is far more than any Pocket export. Links already in your library are skipped rather than duplicated.

The problem with Pocket highlights

How to import your Pocket highlights

Step 1

Find your Pocket export

Look for the zip Mozilla emailed when you requested an export. Inside is a CSV named part_000000.csv. Unzip it.

Step 2

Open Import in Screvi

In the Screvi web app open Articles, then Import, and pick Pocket as the source.
