Your Library, One Hotkey Away

The Screvi extension for Raycast puts your highlights and reading list in the Mac launcher. Search an idea, find the quote, paste it, and get back to work.

Install the Extension

Either:

Connect Your Account

  1. In the Screvi web app, go to Settings > API and create an API key.
    • Searching and browsing need the read scope.
    • Saving links, triaging articles, and favoriting also need write.
  2. Run any Screvi command in Raycast and paste the key when asked.

Commands

  • Search Highlights: semantic search across every highlight. Describe an idea or quote it. Filter by tag, favorite, or copy as a Markdown blockquote.
  • Browse Article Library: your saved articles in Inbox, Later, or Archive. Move them between lists and favorite them without opening the app.
  • Browse Books & Sources: the books, podcasts, videos, and tweets you have highlighted. Press Enter on one to read its highlights.
  • Save Link: sends a URL to your Screvi inbox, with optional tags. Prefills from the active browser tab or your clipboard.
  • Save Link from Clipboard: saves a copied URL with no window at all. Worth assigning a hotkey.

Raycast AI

With Raycast AI, mention @screvi in a chat to ask about your library, for example "@screvi what have I highlighted about deep work?". It can search highlights, list your articles, and save links.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a subscription?

Yes. The extension uses the Screvi public API, which needs an active subscription or trial.

A command says my key is invalid.

Create a new key in Settings > API and paste it in the extension preferences (Raycast Settings > Extensions > Screvi). If saving fails but search works, the key is missing the write scope.
