Add the passages other readers highlighted most in a book to your Screvi library. Great for books you read before Screvi, or read without highlighting.

What It Is
For thousands of well-known books, Screvi knows which passages readers highlight most. Popular Highlights lets you browse those passages for any book and add the ones you want to your library, sorted by how many people marked them.
It is the quickest way to get value from a book you read years ago, a book you imported from Goodreads with no highlights, or one you are about to start.
Add Popular Highlights to a Book
- In the web app, go to Integrations > Popular Book Highlights and click Explore Books.
- Search by title or author and pick the book.
- Screvi lists the most-highlighted passages, each with its like count and location in the book.
- Tick the ones you want, or Select all.
- Click Import selected.
The highlights are added to the book if it is already in your Sources, or Screvi creates the book for you.
From an Empty Book
Open any book in Sources that has no highlights yet, for example one imported from Goodreads. Screvi shows the Popular Highlights picker right on the page. You can also choose Fetch Popular Highlights from the book's menu at any time.
Tips
- Coverage is best for popular non-fiction and bestsellers. Niche titles may have few or no community highlights.
- Treat them as a starting point. Add your own highlights as you read, and delete any imported ones that do not earn their place.
- Pair it with a Goodreads import: bring in your whole reading history, then fill the books you care about.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do popular highlights show up in my daily review?
Yes. Once imported, they behave like any other highlight: they appear in your feed, search, and review sessions.
Where do the highlights come from?
They are the passages most often highlighted by readers across the web, matched to each book edition. Screvi does not see anyone else's private library.
