Import your Goodreads shelves into Screvi, then fill each book with popular community highlights so your whole reading history is searchable.

What You Get
Goodreads does not store highlights, so this import brings in your books: titles, authors, covers, and ISBNs from your "read" and "currently reading" shelves. Each becomes a source in Screvi that you can fill with highlights later.
The fastest way to fill them is Popular Highlights: Screvi shows the passages other readers highlighted most in each book and lets you add them with a click.
Setup
- Make sure your Goodreads profile is public (Goodreads Settings > Privacy). Screvi cannot read private profiles.
- In Screvi, go to Integrations, find Goodreads, and click Connect.
- Paste your Goodreads profile URL. It looks like
https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/12345678-yourname. - Screvi fetches your shelves and adds the books to Sources.
Run it again any time to pick up books you have finished since. Existing books are not duplicated.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I import my Goodreads notes or reviews?
Not yet. Only book metadata comes across.
Some books have no cover.
Goodreads occasionally has no image for an edition. Open the book in Screvi and choose Replace Cover to search for one.
A book shows zero highlights. Now what?
Open it. Screvi offers a Popular Highlights picker right on the empty book page, so you can add the community's top passages or start adding your own.
