X Bookmarks

There are two ways to get X content into Screvi: import your whole bookmarks list with the browser extension, or save individual posts by link.

Import All Your Bookmarks

X's official API is expensive and limited, so the Screvi extension reads the bookmarks page you are already logged in to. Nothing is posted or changed on your account.

1. Install the Screvi extension for Chrome or Firefox.
2. Go to x.com/i/bookmarks while logged in to X.
3. Click Start Import in the Screvi overlay.
4. Leave the tab open while it scrolls through your bookmarks. Each post is saved as a highlight, grouped by author.

Run the import again whenever you like. Screvi skips posts it already has, so re-running only adds new bookmarks.

Save a Single Post or Thread

• Browser extension: click the Screvi icon while viewing the post.
• iOS or Android: tap Share on the post and choose Screvi.
• Web app: paste the post URL into Articles > Add article.

A single post is saved as a highlight under a source named after the author. A thread or an X article is saved as an article you can read and highlight in Screvi.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe?

Yes. The extension only reads the bookmarks page in your own browser session. It cannot post, follow, like, or read messages, and Screvi never sees your X password.

Do bookmarks sync automatically?

No. Bookmark imports are manual. Open the bookmarks page and click Start Import whenever you want to catch up.

Can I import bookmarks from several X accounts?

Yes. Switch accounts in X, open the bookmarks page, and run the import again. Each account's bookmarks are added to the same Screvi library.

Bulk import or individual saves?

Use the bulk import for your existing backlog. Then save posts one at a time as you find them, which gives you the thread as a readable article instead of a highlight.
